Full course description

Course Description: This course explores the American Society for Addiction Medicine Patient Placement Criteria (ASAM PPC), the primary assessment tool used to screen clients for the appropriate level of care in substance use disorder (SUD) treatment. This class will be using didactic and practice pedagogies to first instruct students on the ASAM PPC and how to determine level of care placement based on results of the ASAM assessment, followed by individual and group assignments to practice these skills with case vignettes.
